Former Perfume Factory Transformed Into Luxury Apartments

Construction has completed and all apartments are now occupied at a former perfume factory site in Hanwell, West London.

The mews development of 9 one and two-bedroom apartments, duplexes and penthouses has transformed a derelict light industrial unit into luxury new homes for young professionals.

Our director, Oliver Lowrie comments: “Our work on this scheme began after our client, HGS, had achieved planning consent so we were tasked with ensuring the design was entirely optimised. This included securing amendments via s73, negotiating tight site constraints and delivering a luxurious yet robust interior design. In doing so we were able to achieve an additional 108m² net saleable area, the equivalent to another apartment.”

Our design focused on maximising natural light, open-plan layouts, and practicality with engineered timber flooring. Additionally, emphasis was placed on individual features like private terraces, luxurious interior design with a natural colour palette, and high-quality finishes such as porcelain tiles, handleless kitchen cabinetry, and underfloor heating.

The result is a bespoke development that has regenerated a historic site with thoughtfully designed homes for Hanwell’s young professionals. Read more about our approach.
