Breakfast Club Briefings with… Paul Scully MP
The latest event in our Breakfast Club Briefings series welcomed Paul Scully MP as its keynote speaker.
Paul addressed key figures from the built environment sector, reflecting on the multiple roles he has held in his 10 years as an MP, including Minister for London. Paul’s speech highlighted the transformative power of real estate development across the UK, and emphasised the urgent need for more affordable housing in London, advocating for public-private partnerships to accelerate construction.
The event was attended by representatives from local authorities, housing associations, developers and consultants, and resulted in a hugely insightful debate on the challenges faced by the industry ahead of the next election.
Our director, Jon Ackroyd, commented :"The event was a great opportunity for those working in the built environment to come together alongside politicians to brainstorm how we can work together more effectively to deliver sufficient numbers of new homes, whilst ensuring the highest level of environmental performance, and design quality. Paul's insights on the relationship between the public and private sector over the last 10 years was incredibly useful in framing this debate."
The event was sponsored by Capital Economics. Sign up to join the next Breakfast Club Briefings event here.
