“Mark has such depth of experience and diverse knowledge that we’re keen to learn from as we grow the business, particularly regarding growth that puts sustainability first,” explains Ackroyd Lowrie’s director and co-founder, Oli Lowrie. “Ackroyd Lowrie was established to do things differently. We want to work smarter, better utilise technology and encourage developers towards more sustainable thinking without compromising on value, design or the end-user experience.

“This attitude has enabled us to create numerous healthy and sustainable environments, but now we want to go further and develop a manifesto for how future cities are designed. Mark’s expertise will be invaluable in creating this, not just in terms of how we approach design but also in how we operate as a business,” concluded Oli.

Mark’s career has included roles across the UK with consultancies, contractors, developers and joint venture companies where he has specialised in major urban regeneration schemes, property development, public/private partnerships and sustainable investment. Mark said: “I am enthused by Ackroyd Lowrie’s ambitious growth strategy and genuine commitment to socially responsible and sustainable development. This is reinforced with their expertise in not just architecture but also urban design, masterplanning and the most technologically advanced virtual reality capabilities. I am looking forward to supporting their team in their objective to create great places that meet the urgent challenges of the climate emergency.”
