Ackroyd Lowrie is committed to designing low-energy buildings that work for our clients. This approach is informed by years of research into real energy consumption, allowing us to understand building performance.
We take a holistic view of low-energy design which includes carefully choosing natural materials that are sustainably sourced, and also specifying modern materials such as triple glazing that offer high thermal performance. Our approach is to use robust materials that will stand the test of time, and offer users resilience against future changes.
We think about environmental design from the first principles on every project, and ensure that we understand the orientation and extent of glazing through analysis and modelling. AL have a qualified Passivhaus designer as part of the team, and are able to undertake the rigorous testing and modeling required to design these ultra-low energy buildings.
